Terms of service

Plainly, between serious people: WorkMate is a meeting place for employers and candidates. We do the matching and provide the tools; the hiring decision and final paperwork stay between you.

01What WorkMate is

A matching platform between employers in Romania and foreign workers already in the country. The service is free during the launch period.

02What WorkMate is NOT

We are not a licensed recruitment agency, not lawyers, and we do not provide legal advice. Permit and legal-risk information is indicative — it helps you ask the right questions; it does not replace official checks (IGI/ITM) or a licensed advisor. Legal employment remains the employer's responsibility.

03Self-reported document status

Permit status on candidate profiles is SELF-REPORTED. The “verified” label means an administrator viewed the uploaded document and it appears valid — it is not an official certification. Final verification of originals happens at hiring, between the parties.

04Rules of conduct

Prohibited: false or misleading postings, charging candidates fees for employment, discrimination, harassment in messaging, uploading another person's documents without right. Violations lead to account suspension.

05AI assistants

Assistant-generated content (postings, messages, profiles) is a proposal — you review and approve it before publishing. You remain responsible for content published from your account.

06Liability and termination

The platform is provided “as is”, in a launch version. We are not liable for agreements concluded outside the platform. You can close your account anytime, from your profile, with full deletion. We may suspend accounts that break the rules above.

Using the platform means accepting these terms. Future versions will be announced in-app.
